Ensaio Sobre o Grito (2022)

"Ensaio Sobre o Grito" is an animated video comissioned and directed by Rafael Valles. 
The video was made to promote a book of short stories. This is the visual representation with a voice over of first and main short in the book, "ensaio sobre o grito" (essay about the scream). 

Osvaldo tries to discover his own scream. A scream that can balance your reason, that seeks to resist the authoritarian screams that burn history books. To achieve this goal, he went to Naufragados beach. He didn't expect that he would find something more in his scream than a simple scream.

The video is made with stop-motion collage and after effects animation. 

I animated, did art direction, the collages, storyboard, animatic, sound design and sound mixing, montage and color grading.
